The horror movie industry lost one of its greats when the original Leatherface Gunnar Hansen passed away last year, but one of his final wishes before he passed has been realized through the production on Death House. A movie based on a story by Hansen himself.
The cast of Death House is packed with Hansen’s fellow horror movie icons, including Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhes), Michael Berryman (Hills Have Eyes), Barbara Crampton (Scream Queen from You’re Next), Sid Haig (House of 1000 Corpses), Bill Moseley (House of 1000 Corpses), Tony Todd (The Candyman), Dee Wallace (Hills Have Eyes), Felissa Rose(Sleepaway Camp), Vernon Wells (Weird Science), R.A. Mihailoff (Hatched II), Camille Keaton (I Spit on Your Grave), and Danny Trejo (From Dusk till Dawn), coming together to help tell the following story:
Two federal agents fight their way through nine levels of Hell inside a secret prison known as the Death House. A facility-wide prison break turns their flight into a tour of horrors as they push toward the ultimate evil housed in the lowest depths of the earth.
The two federal agents are played by Cortney Palm (Silent Night) and Cody Longo (Piranha 3D).
The story sounds simple doesn’t it? But Hansen and Smith aimed high with the way it would be presented, as the newly released trailer reveals. While Death house doesn’t look at all like I thought it would, it is a kind of pleasant surprise. Death House may very well deliver the bloodbath I’m so hoping for. It’s taking an approach that might make it even more entertaining to watch. Which is a boon for horror fans everywhere.
Let’s talk about the new trailer. Being a big horror movie fan myself I find it creepy as hell. And in many ways all kinds of F***ed up. Why not take a look see for yourself?
