Pokemon is one of those television shows that I figured would run a few seasons and be done. I was obviously wrong. I thought the same thing about Power Rangers when it first debuted (and I am a huge fan of giant robot shows). Anyhow, Pokemon is going strong on television, collectible card games and the various games. The Pokemon TV App has been updated with new features and just to whet your appetite a bit, new episodes have also been added.
The new episodes that have been added to the Pokemon TV App are all in the Pokemon XYZ series.
First, this update brings easier navigation within the app. There is now a “recently watched” and even a downloadable content option that will surely come in handy. The downloading option is quite limited but it is better than nothing.
For now, users can download one episode that is available in the app or download one movie from the selections. After one week this download is automatically removed, probably for security reasons. This is a great option for people who traveling and don’t want to give the little ones a device with network access enabled. It also will save a bit for those a little more freely with their devices as movies can be quite large.
Other updates include “My Channel” which stores episodes that you have not finished. This makes it simpler and less troublesome to resume an episode you were enjoying. Users can also rate videos now which effects the overall score for that episode. Also, now users can get push notifications from the app. The push notification can alert users to new episodes or movies that have been added. Convenient for a Pokemon fanatic.
