PokeDates – Pokemon GO Dating Service Launched Today

Yes, you read that right.  Today we saw the launch of a dating service focused on Pokemon GO.  The PokeDates service looks to bring together gamers that are into the hugely popular social media game.  The question is, are you sick of Pokemon GO yet?  Would you use a dating service like this?  Read on before making your decision.

According to the service, PokeDates are “curated” based on answers on a questionnaire.  The service comes into play by taking the information you provide when signing up and putting you with someone who should be a good fit for you.  Questions that are asked, and it helps to be honest here, include availability (your preferred time of day), area (are you willing to travel?) and other details.

“Project Fixup is known for creating tailored dates that enable people with similar interests to do something fun together in the real world,” said Sarah Press, co-founder and CEO of Project Fixup. “As soon as Pokemon Go launched, we knew it was a perfect fit for our users; Pokemon Go enthusiasts and new members alike.”

The first date is free and subsequent dates after that require a $20 fee.  There is no information on if this fee is charged only to the guys, as is commonplace with other dating services that have fees.  You can also earn free dates by referring friends to the service (might help if they were single or open minded).

So, would you use this service?  If so, head over to GoPokeDates.com and sign up.
