What I Know About The Interview With A Vampire Remake So Far

A lot of you will now know that Interview With a Vampire is being remade made. Yup another remake what a surprise! I have to admit as much as remakes get on my last nerve, I am curious about this one. I am Vampire obsessed after all. This is what I found out about the movie so far.

This movie was incredible first time round, back in 1994. The movie was based on the famous Anne Rice novel and it was a massive hit to say the least. Not to mention how incredibly fit Brad Pitt looks as a blood sucking creature of the night.

Louis (Brad Pitt), was born an 18th century lord, But is now an old Vampire who want to tell his story to an eager biographer (Christian Slater). Louis was suicidal after the death of his family when he meets Lestat, (Tom Cruise) an ancient Vampire who persuades him to choose immortality over death. Lestat offers him to become his companion for an eternity.

After a very long time together Louis even as a vampire has a gentle soul and eventually decides he wants to leave his violent maker. Lestat guilt’s him into staying by turning a young girl (Kirsten Dunst) who joins their family.

So now we are up to speed with the original its tame to dive deep into the remake. A modern take on this amazing movie is in the works with director Josh Boone adapting it. It has been confirmed that suicide squads joker Jared Leto will be taking over Tom Cruises role as Lestat.my personal opinion is that Leto will be a fangtastic Lestat, although I read that many do not agree. I don’t think any other castings have happened as of yet but personally I am hoping they will be pulling Brad Pitt back in to play Louis. We will have to watch this space for more updates.
