Farming simulator fans rejoice. Harvest Moon is finally available for Android and iPhone. This is a series that started way back on the Super Nintendo in the early to mid 1990’s and has found its way on to many platforms over the years. This is the first time that Harvest Moon has made its way to the Android and iPhone platforms. Until now, mobile gamers have been limited to, illegally, emulating a previous version of the game. No more. Natsume has brought the series to the two most popular mobile platforms, all-inclusive for one price with no In App Purchases. Not many companies go this route and it is a shame that we are heading down this road.
Previously, Harvest Moon Seeds of Memories was available on the iPhone platform (released last year). This recent release is the first time Android famers will get a shot at the classic series.
The classic formula is apparently in place here as you are tasked with planting crops, caring for animals and collecting items. If you are to be a successful farmer you will have to tend the crops, maintain the animals and make friends with the non-player characters in the game world.
There is an overall story in Seeds of Memories that could, if you play it right, involve a romance or two. Harvest Moon was one of the few games back in the day that allowed you to pick your gender so this romance will be the “opposite” of what you choose.
There are no In App Purchases to worry about in Harvest Moon Seeds of Memories, just a one time, slightly steep, payment.
