Beginning production early next year the third remake of A Star is Born will star Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.  Lady Gaga was recently cast as the leading lady in this remake that will feature the directorial debut of Cooper.  Lady Gaga will also release new music for this version of A Star is Born.  The leading lady role was initially to be played by Beyonce but plans fell through and Lady Gaga was cast in the role.

A Star is Born was originally released in 1937 and starred Janet Gaynor across from Fredric March.  The story of A Star is Born was one of tragedy and fame finding its next fire to kindle as one fades out.  The female lead is a star that is experiencing a rise in her musical career while the male lead is that of a falling musical star whose career is waning rapidly.

According to sources close to the project, Lady Gaga won over the powers that be with a performance that worked quite well with Cooper’s lead.  This cinched the role for the pop artist.  A Star is Born remake is due to begin filming in early 2017.  We will keep our eyes on this one and keep you up to date on new developments.
