Released November 25th 2009 and directed by , this movie scared the s**t out of me. Granted it was the only good movie that came from the Paranormal Activity movie series, but I give credit where it’s due. The movie is about Katie (Katie Featherston) and Micah (Micah Sloat) who move into a new home, but soon become very disturbed by what seems to be a poltergeist’s presence. Hoping to capture evidence of it on film, they set up video cameras in the house but are not prepared for the strange and horrifying events that follow.
Released November 18th 1990 and adapted from the book by Stephen King. I am terrified of clowns! So as you can imagine, not only were these movies hard to watch but also made it hard for me to turn the lights out. Seven friends engage in a struggle with the demon they first met 30 years earlier in their Maine hometown, a child eating clown by the name of Pennywise (Tim Curry). There is an IT remake in the works which, no doubt, I won’t be able to sit and watch as even now I’m a lot older, clowns still terrify me.
