We are creeping into October and there are a handful of great movies to be hitting the cinemas. One of those great movies is The Girl on the Train. This action packed horror/thriller is sure to get your mind working as the plot starts to unfold.
The Novel:
For those of you who don’t know this movie is an adaption of the 2015 amazing novel of the same name. The novel is an awesome psychological thriller by the British author Paula Hawkins. The novel reached number one on The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2015 list and it stood its ground on the top position for 13 consecutive weeks. The novel itself sold more than 3 million copies in the US alone. Judging from the book sales alone I would say this is going to be one hell of a movie.
The Movie Adaption:
Tate Taylor was the one to direct the movie which is soon to be released on the 7th of October. The movie is about Rachel Watson, (Emily Blunt). She catches daily glimpses of an obvious perfect couple, from the window of her train. Untill one day, she witnesses something shocking happen in the backyard of the couple’s home. Rachel tells the authorities what she thinks she saw after she learns that the woman is now missing and feared to be dead. Rachel is unable to trust her own memory, so she sets about on starting her own investigation. Police begin to suspect that Rachel may have crossed a dangerous line. Let’s take a look at the trailer, in case you are not quite convinced yet.
As you can see from the trailer, it looks like the perfect couple isn’t so perfect after all. We see the missing woman sleeping around with a lot of men, and by the looks of it Rachel’s husband happens to be one of them. There looks to be a lot of twists and turns in the plot which is going to keep you on your toes. So you have now seen and read all the evidence to this potentially great movie, lets hope the director has done it justice.
