Calling all The Vampire Diaries fans, I have some news. A cast member will be returning to Season 8, and I don’t mean Nina Dobrev. But let me put it this way. It’s about time. Continue on for the scoop. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

It was producer and writer Julie Plec who first hinted Nina Dobrev’s return in the final season of The Vampire Diaries, so they can tie all those loose ends and give the show a fitting end. And rightly so.  After all The Vampire Diaries did jump-start her acting career.

Rumors have it that Sybil is after Stefan. We think this is because she can sense the Ripper within him. If she is truly after Stefan, viewers may see a bitter feud between this new evil and Caroline (Candice King) who will most likely fight to get her man back. Fans are assured, however, that “Steroline” will get some happiness.

Personally, I have my own theory. Talk has it Nina is coming back as Katherine Pierce, and not Elena. I think Sybil will manifest into the beauty Katherine who will want Stefan back. After all, we she was deeply in love with the hero haired brother. This is just my opinion on the story, but don’t take my word for it. This is only a theory after all.

We are getting closer and closer to the air date of The Vampire Diaries Season 8 and I know we are all dreading the last series finale and bidding farewell to our beloved show.
