Tite Kubo’s hit manga series Bleach has come to it’s conclusion, but it’s not the end of the line for Ichigo and his pals just yet. Along with the last chapter to his hit manga series, it was announced that there is a live action movie in the works, which has already been green lit by Warner Bros Japan. This live action adaption is set to make its debut on the big screens 2018 with the lead role of Ichigo Kurosaki already cast–taking the lead role is Sōta Fukushi, the 23-year-old actor from Tokyo Japan.
The forthcoming live action movie is not the first work to bring Ichigo and co. to life from the pages of the manga. The first adaption that made its way to the eyes and ears of many in 2004 was in the form of an Anime adaptation spanning a total of 366 episodes and 4 hit movies to complement the series.

Both series and movies kept the viewers coming back for more until the series ended in 2012. Just as Kubo’s original work was entering its final story arc. While there is still hope for a continuation of the Anime series throughout the fan base, there has  been no word on this as of yet. Many are happy to see Ichigo and his Hollow fighting companions taking to the big screen in this live Action adaption.

The director is Shinsuke Sato, who previously worked on Gantz and Library Wars to name a couple and is heading up this massive project. Sōta Fukushi, the young Actor known for his work on Kamen Rider Fourze, is going to be put through his paces again in this action-packed movie. The author (Mangaka) of Bleach, Tite Kubo, has voiced his hopes for this movie to be enjoyed by both those who have followed Bleach to its end in its previous forms and those who are taking the tour of Karakura Town for the very first time. Director Sato has also mentioned a few details on what the Manga to movie adaption will include, such as the home of the Soul Reapers (Shinigami) – the Soul Society, the masked horrors known as Hollows and Battles between the two with the well-known Zanpakuto – the signature weaponry of the Soul Reapers.
