He-Man Tappers of Grayskull Review on Android Using ZTE ZMAX 2

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, a license that is ripe for TONS of genres to take advantage of but continually misused by those with the money to make it happen.  That sums up my thoughts on the games that have been released that use the He-Man license since the Intellivision days of gaming.  Sure, in the animation world he has had some ups and some downs but generally doing better than average- again misused quite a bit though.  Anyhow, we have a new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe game and sadly, it is a step back from the action game we got a few years ago ( for those wondering).  This latest use of a really cool license in a crappy game is a tapping game.  Yep.  A tapping game.

The story of He-Man is one of struggle, self-doubt and finding oneself again all the while fighting against evil that wants to simply take over the world.  Here it is Eternia- another planet in another galaxy depending on which history you are paying attention to.  Anyhow, in He-Man Tappers of Grayskull it seems that Skeletor has discovered a method to finally take over Grayskull and consume all of its secrets.  Skeletor has super-sized his minions and now are giants among men.

That is all cool and dandy actually.  The storyline is the best part of this download and to get that you don’t even have to download the game- you can read it on the Google Play and iTunes page.  Now what sucks about this one is that it is literally only tapping the screen and sometimes, during a boss fight, hitting another part of the screen.  That is the WHOLE game.  Sure, there is a bit of strategy in upgrading your characters (hint, upgrade He-Man) but it is rather, well, boring.  You just tap the screen as quickly as possible and hope you beat the bosses in less than 30 seconds (the time limit).

There are In App Purchases too so be careful just handing this one to your younger gamer friends.  For the most part, these are not needed as you are going to have plenty of in game cash to play with for your needs.

For fans of one handed, or mindless fun, games here you go another one to add to your collection.  For people that wanted more with a new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe game, time to go back to the last one and just replay it and hope another good one comes along.
