ZTE Axon M, Dual Screen Cell Phone, On Sale

ZTE, the brand I used to really like, have this interesting take on cell phones called the Axon M. This is a dual screen cell phone – think Nintendo 3DS but both screens are the same size. The launch price was just over $700 but there is a unique offer going right now if you want to save $200 on the Axon M.

For those wondering just why the hell would you want a dual screen, folding, cell phone – it is not just a gimmick. Each screen of the ZTE Axon M can be used independently of the other, or in tandem to create one wide, but with a seam in the middle, screen. This is an interesting idea for sure.

Marketing materials showed the ZTE Axon M being used in an “A” formation, or is that an upside down “V”? Anyhow, you can watch videos on one screen while checking Facebook, or other social media on the other.

Specs on the ZTE Axon M are as follows:

Android 7.1
8.11 ounces (230 grams)
1090×1920 screen (X2)
424 pixels per inch
Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro-AB
Quad-core, 2150 MHz, Kryo, 64-bit, 14 nm
Adreno 530 graphics processor
64 gigs of storage (49 GB available to users)
3180 mAh battery

Now, how do you get this bad boy for $200 off? Simple, through Best Buy, you can get the ZTE Axon M for $17.49 per month over 30 months by going with the payment installment plan. The regular price is $24.70 per month over the same period. This works out to just over $200 over the period of installments.

The kicker is, the savings is given to you over the 30-month period. That means, you cannot pay the Axon M off early and still get that savings. Bummer.

If you are in the market for a dual screen cell phone  then the Axon M by ZTE may be for you.
