WWE No Mercy Dolph Ziggler Versus Miz Steals Show

Last night, Sunday October 9th, we saw the WWE No Mercy Pay Per View event live over the WWE Network and on major cable PPV services.  This was supposed to be a big PPV for the WWE especially after the brand split occurred earlier this year.  I won’t even waste your time, like the WWE did, with the first match “first time in PPV history the main event going first” between AJ Styles, John Cena and Dean Ambrose.  Instead, let’s focus on the highlight of the night, the match that stole the No Mercy Pay Per View- Dolph Ziggler versus The Miz in a career versus title match (respectively).

Going into this match Dolph Ziggler had put his career on the line against The Miz’s Intercontinental Championship, a title he has held for nearly half a year now.  What I initially wrote off, when first hearing about it, turned out to be the match of the night.  Both men clearly put their “all” into this match with great moves and plenty of risk taken to finally provide a satisfying finish to this feud that has carried on for a bit now.

The buildup for this match was well paced and done very “anti-WWE” here lately.  They actually took the time to let the two go at each other on Smackdown and create a believable feud.  These two have been at each other for a couple of weeks setting Dolph Ziggler up as the underdog and The Miz as the man with everything- the title, a beautiful wife and movies to his credit.  Life is good, if you are The Miz, in the build up to this match at WWE No Mercy.

If you have a chance to catch WWE No Mercy on replay or later on DVD release I suggest skipping the other matches and just watching the Dolph Ziggler and Miz match and calling it a show.  It was that good.

If you want to catch WWE Pay Per Views for cheap, subscribe to the WWE Network for $9.99 a month.  If you are not all that much of a WWE fan then you may be interested in this article about the real chance that non-WWE programming is coming sooner than later.
