Brawlout Hits Steam Early Access, Brings Console Style Brawling to PC

If you are a fan of Super Smash Bros, a popular Nintendo brawler, then you probably realize there is not much similar available on PC. Angry Mob Games plans to change that with their game, Brawlout for Steem and it is out now on Early Access.

Brawlout is a fast-paced animated brawler that brings a fresh take on the competitive beat-em up genre, regardless if you want to play home alone, on a couch with friends or go online to compete in tournaments”, said Bogdan Iliesiu, CEO of Angry Mob Games. “The launch on Steam Early Access is only the first stage in building the Brawlout universe, as in future updates we plan to release a story campaign and single-player challenges, along with more characters, gameplay features and other surprises”.

The initial lineup includes six wild fighters that can be taken online in up to four player brawls. These are wacky characters like a four-armed frog and an eagle with an attitude to name just a couple.

From the get go, Brawlout is designed for both casual and hardcore fighting game fans. There are online matches, ranked ladders and even private lobbies so you can play with just the friends you want without strangers ruining the fun. What is cool here is that you can even watch live matches, replays and other enhancements that help streaming gamers lives a little easier.

While not as cartoony looking as the Super Smash Bros series, Brawlout certainly appears to have that “feel” and “look” going for it. The screen scales when necessary, levels are detailed and the fighters mix is varied quite a bit. The question is, how many friendships will be ruined by Brawlout?

Brawlout is available right now on Steam Early Access.
