This Vampire Novel Series Needs a TV Adaption
The movie industry seems to be all about the remakes lately. Which is sad really as there is so much opportunity out there, if they just look. If in doubt I say, pick up a book and look at what is around you. Vampire fans everywhere are just dying for more bloodsucker action to hit the screens in either tv or movie form, so give us what we need.
These are books I literally could not put down, and when a book does that to you then you know it would do well as a series or a movie. Look at the huge shows we have already had… The Vampire Diaries and True Blood were massive hit shows which were adapted from books. Here’s an idea for you to ponder on:
Keira Hudson Series:
The series was written by the wonderful Tim O’Rourke and he knows exactly how to make a book come to life. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading these books I would highly recommend them to any bloodsucker lover. He takes on a whole different concept to the usual vampire stories out there, but don’t worry the vampires do not sparkle. I don’t want to say too much to spoil the books for anyone but trust me when I say The Keira Hudson Series needs a TV series adaption. I am a massive True Blood fan but I honestly think that if these books were made into a TV show, it would beat True Blood hands down. Tim O’Rourke adds just the right amount of love, drama, action, killings and mystery into his novels. He makes you fall in love with the characters just from reading the first few pages and the series has more shocking twists and turns than you could ever imagine.
The fist book Vampire Shift introduces us to Kiera Hudson, a 20-year-old police recruit who is posted to the remote town of The Ragged Cove. Her life is changed forever at the things she finds as the story unfolds. Investigating a series of horrific murders, grave desecrations, and missing persons, Kiera uses her unique ability of “seeing”. Kiera falls for police officer Luke Bishop. Not only are her mind and heart opened to a terrifyingly new world, she comes to suspect that Luke might be involved in the killings. In a race against time to unearth the truth, Kiera must discover the identity of who or what, is behind the gruesome deaths on her Vampire Shift.
The books just get better and better the more they go on, I can’t stress enough how amazing they would be as a TV show. If you haven’t read them then please do and see what all the fuss is about because I guarantee you will want a TV series just as bad as I do.
