Best Upcoming Movies Still to Come in 2016

With the end of the year coming out of nowhere like a speeding bullet, I thought I would bring you a list of the best movies still to come this year. Can you believe it is nearly October already? Where has the year gone? Anyhow, let’s get straight to it.

I have already done the best October movies, so if you missed it I will leave the link at the bottom of the page.

November 4th:

Doctor Strange:

Another Marvel installment of a comic book hero is being brought to the big screen, I can’t wait to see this one. The movie is about Dr. Stephen Strange who is played by Benedict Cumberbatch, is a young surgeon with a promising career. He loses his ability to operate after a terrible accident, so feeling suicidal, Dr. Strange seeks advice from a mystical being known as the Ancient One. He soon learns that he is the new designated Sorcerer Supreme, responsible for protecting the planet from evil.

The wacky haired 80’s/90’s troll dolls are back! Brought to us by Dreamworks Animation. The movie is about Poppy, the optimistic leader of the trolls, and Branch, her complete opposite. They embark on an adventure that takes them far beyond the only world they have ever known.

Hacksaw Ridge:

This movie looks pretty awesome, and is based on a true story. Directed by Mel Gibson the movie is about Desmond T. Doss, who won the Congressional Medal of Honor despite refusing to bear arms during WWII on religious grounds. He soon won people over for his bravery, selflessness and compassion after he risked his life, without firing a shot, to save 75 men in the Battle of Okinawa.

November 11th:

Shut In:

I have already posted a full article on this movie so I will leave the link below.

Shut In Looks Like it’s a One to Watch

November 23rd:

Walt Disney Studios brings us a new movie about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides the girl in her quest. Together they sail across the ocean faced with enormous monsters and impossible odds.

Rules Don’t Apply:

Directed by Warren Beatty, this movie is about an actress and her personal driver who begin a forbidden romance while working for a billionaire by the name of Howard Hughes. The movie is set in Hollywood in 1958.

December 9th:

Office Christmas Party:

Brought to us by Dreamworks, the movie is about  co-workers who throw an epic Christmas party, despite their boss telling them no. The party starts to spiral out of control pretty quickly, and leaves things in quite the mess.

December 16th:

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story:

Directed by Gareth Edwards, this movie is about a group of unlikely heroes who come together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction.

December 21st:

Assassin’s Creed:

This Ubisoft video game adaption is one a lot of fans are looking forward to this year. Directed by Justin Kurzel this movie is about Callum Lynch who is a descendant of the mysterious secret society the Assassins. Callum must use his deadly skills to battle the powerful Templar organization.

Directed by Garth Jennings this movie is about a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times, but dapper koala Buster Moon is an optimist who loves his theater. He decides to have one last attempt to restore his fading theater to its former glory, by producing the world’s greatest singing competition. Five contestants sing for the place of the prize: a mouse, a timid elephant, a pig, a gorilla and a punk-rock porcupine. To be honest this one is the one I want to see the most lol.
