After all the hype and excitement for American Horror Story season 6 I finally got to sit down and watch it. As many of you know I am a massive fan of the series and it saddens me to have to put the show down. I do not know where this season is headed, but I sure hope it gets better from here on in.
Shelby (Lily Rabe) and Matt (André Holland) are an interracial couple who leave LA due to feeling unsafe because of a recent attack and Shelby miscarrying their child. They decided to head out to Matt’s hometown in North Carolina. There they buy a beautiful, but creepy looking, old farmhouse, without questioning why it’s being sold at auction for $20,000, or why the only other interested buyers are a trio of unpleasant looking hillbillies.
In the past, Shelby (Sarah Paulson) sees that the sky is raining teeth and is attacked by mysterious figures carrying torches and pitchforks while she bathes in the hot tub, enjoying a glass of wine. This is where I started to think that just maybe it was in her head due to stress of losing their baby.
Matt (Cuba Gooding Jr) is worried about her and when he leaves on business he first sets up security cameras, so he can keep an eye while he’s away. He also calls for his sister Lee to come and stay (Adina Porter and Angela Bassett in the past) to come and spend time with her. They get locked in the basement. After half an hour they get out and notice the house has been covered in hanging stickmen. These were seemingly imported from The Blair Witch Project.
