Oreo Pops

Today I decided to make some Oreo pops with the kids. if you want to make this awesome fun and yummy treats just follow the instructions below.

What you will need:

  • Oreos.
  • Candy melts.
  • Lolly pop sticks.
  • Microwavable bowls.
  • Cake pop stand or styrofoam block.
  • (Optional) cake pop bags and ties.

Getting prepared:

Put the candy melts in a bowl. There are many different types of candy melts available I used the ClassiKool candy melt blocks which I got off Ebay for £1.97 per 200g bag.

Pop the bowl of candy melts into microwave untill melted. If it looks too thick and lumpy don’t worry, add a small amount of trex untill it is a nice dipping consistency.

Put the bowl to one side to very slightly cool, then get your Oreos and lolly sticks at the ready. Next dip a stick a little way into the melted candy melts and gently insert into the Oreo. Do this with them all and let them set.

Now for the fun part! Take your Oreo on a stick and dip it into the candy melts. (no it’s not your eyes we used 2 colours lol) Let the excess drip off back into the bowl then pop it in your cake pop stand to dry. Do this with them all then pop them in the fridge to harden. WARNING! This may get messy and some may fall off if the stick is pushed into the Oreo too far.

You can leave them plain or play around with them using different colour candy melts and a piping bag. Once again let them dry once they look how you want them too. You can even add sprinkles while the candy melts are still wet if you like.

pop a little cake pop bag over them and put a tie around and it makes them look super cute for special occasions.
