Sorry to tell you guys this but it’s just been announced that season will be our beloved Liars last season After much thought over the future of the show, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pieterse and creator I. Marlene King announced the “bittersweet” news in a Facebook Live broadcast from the show’s set, where they’re filming the final few episodes.
“It’s been such an amazing chapter of our lives and we’re so glad that you guys could share it with us, but all good things must come to an end and these last 10 episodes are pretty crazy,” Hale teased.
While King has hinted at the possibility that the show could continue in a different form after season seven, the group confirmed that the last ten episodes will mark the end of the series. Personally I don’t think with out our liars who we have come to know and love wont be playing their parts anymore, I don’t see how this story can continue.
You still have some time before we say goodbye to Rosewood: The second half of Pretty Little Liars season seven will premiere in April 2017, and the series finale will be a super sized two-hour event.
“It’s been an honor to work with such a talented cast and crew over the last seven years. We are a family, and it will be hard to say goodbye to a show that has made such an impact on young audiences and been a mouthpiece for cultural change. I’m excited for fans to finally have all of their questions answered, and I believe they will be satisfied with the wild ride that is our last ten episodes,”
“It’s definitely going to be the last season as the fans know it,” Bellisario (Spencer) told E NEWS. “I think that most of the major storylines are going to be wrapping up, and that’s what’s really exciting because I think fans are finally going to get answers that they want.”
The Pretty Little Liars mid season finale airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Freeform.
