WWE Suspends Former Diva’s Champion

It is not always fun and games around here at the Gravis Ludus offices.  Sometimes we have to bring bad news to our readers.  Today, we have learned that the WWE have had to suspend a former WWE Diva’s champion for failing the wellness policy for her first time.

Saraya-Jade Bevis, also known as Paige on WWE programming, has been suspended for failing the wellness policy.  Page is a former Diva’s champion, the youngest in the history of the WWE.  She accomplished this feat when making her debut on WWE “main roster” programming fighting AJ Lee.  Since that first title reign she has been attempting to recapture the title.

When the WWE decided to revamp the Diva’s Division and bring up newcomers, Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Sasha Banks, Paige formed a new team.  Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch were one of the newly created three women teams that were formed that night and called themselves PCB.  Each member was known for their submission moves.  This was an effort to counter the Bella Twins and Alicia Fox.  Nikki Bella was able to beat AJ Lee’s record for holding the Diva’s championship while a member of this group.

It is interesting to note that just recently Alberto Del Rio was suspended for breaking the WWE Wellness Policy.  This is interesting because Paige and Alberto Del Rio are known to be in a relationship and have had public exposure in news making events.  One such event was at a night club where the night was capped by Paige being put into handcuffs.  This altercation featured both Paige and Alberto Del Rio in the night club.

Saraya-Jade Bevis’s suspension begins tomorrow, August 18th, and will last 30 days.  It is unclear what this will mean for her career with the WWE.  Paige has not been on television since prior to the brand split.
